SIDF Hosts the Second Industrial Hackathon Training Camp
"The Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) will launch tomorrow September 14th the training camp for participants in the second Industrial Hackathon, aiming to create innovative solutions to challenges faced by national manufacturers.
Over the course of two days, September 14th, and 15th, in three tracks; Design, Production, and Sustainability, 204 individuals representing 57 teams will compete in a training camp that includes two on-site workshops. The first workshop will be on September 14th, titled ""Introduction to Preliminary Modeling,"" while the second one will be on September 15th, titled ""Presentation to the Judging Committee"". In addition, there will be mentoring sessions provided by industrial experts. The camp will also include free time for participants to work on their ideas.
The training camp will provide a Fabrication Laboratory to assist participants in implementing their ideas using various techniques, such as CNC and 3D printing.
Following the training camp, the closing ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 16th, in the presence of H.E the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Chairman of SIDF, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkahorayef to honor the winners and participants. The total value of prizes distributed in the Industrial Hackathon exceeds one million SAR.
It is worth mentioning that the second edition of the Industrial Hackathon is held in partnership with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology as an innovation partner, Riyadh Bank as a financial partner, and Sipchem Company as a platinum sponsor."
