SIDF Launches the Fourth Edition of the "Industrial Hackathon" with Prizes Exceeding SAR 1.7 Million

The Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) has announced the opening of registration for the fourth edition of the Industrial Hackathon, held under the patronage of H.E. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of SIDF’s Board of Directors.
The hackathon aims to harness the creative potential of citizens and residents to develop innovative solutions to the challenges facing national factories, in support of SIDF’s strategy to foster innovation and industrial development. The total value of prizes exceeds SAR 1,700,000, with registration open until October 1, and the closing ceremony scheduled for October 25, 2025.
This year’s edition features four main tracks: design, production, sustainability, and automation. The automation track, newly introduced, focuses on developing automated solutions and technologies that enhance operational efficiency, improve productivity, and accelerate digital transformation. A group of prominent companies will present industrial challenges to participants during the training camp on October 23–24, including Coca-Cola, Batook, L’azurde for Jewelry, Castle, Baja Food Industries, Afia Health Oil, Abdul Samad Al Qurashi, ACWA Power, Desert Technologies, Health Water Bottling "Nova Water", EXA Porcelain, and the Saudi Artisanal.
SIDF invites innovators and creators from inside and outside the Kingdom, aged 18 and above, to participate in “Industrial Hackathon 2025” by visiting the official website (hackathon.sidf.gov.sa). The fourth edition is organized in partnership with Riyad Bank, the Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem), King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), with platinum sponsorship from Ma’aden.
This event builds on the success of the previous three editions, which attracted more than 16,000 participants, of whom 600 advanced to the training camps, resulting in innovative industrial solutions that enhanced the competitiveness of national products and strengthened the hackathon’s position as a leading platform for industrial innovation in the Kingdom.
