"The Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) revealed the registration phase's statistics for the 2nd Industrial Hackathon, which aims to attract young talents to come up with creative solutions to the challenges faced by Saudi manufacturers.

The registration began on August 13th and ended on August 31st, attracting 5575 applicants, including 3892 team members and 1683 team leaders, comprising 730 males and 953 females, with 1110 people the majority of them were between the ages of 18 to 25.

The ""Industrial Hackathon 2023"" presents the Saudi manufacturers' challenges through three tracks: design, production, and sustainability, with design reaching 2349 applicants, followed by sustainability with 1776, and production with 1450.

The 2nd Industrial Hackathon consists of 4 phases, starting with ""the registration"" from August 13th until August 31st, ""the screening"" from September 1st until September 4th to select the teams that will qualify for ""the training camp"" from September 14th until September 15th, which includes in-person workshops and guidance sessions for the participants, and ""the announcement of the Hackathon's winners and closing ceremony"" on September 16th.

It is noteworthy that the ""Industrial Hackathon 2023"" prize pool is more than 1 million SAR distributed among the winners and participants, and it is launched in partnership with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology as an innovation partner, Riyad Bank as a financial partner, and Sipchem Company as a platinum sponsor."
