H.E. Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Awards the Winners in the Third Industrial Hackathon

"His Excellency Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), H.E. Mr. Yousef Al-Benyan, Minister of Education, H.E. Mr. Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, Advisor to the Royal Court and Vice Chairman of the National Development Fund (NDF), and H.H. Prince Sultan bin Khalid bin Faisal Al Saud, CEO of SIDF, awarded the winning teams of the third Industrial Hackathon, with the participation of 206 talents representing 50 teams, providing innovative solutions to the challenges offered by national manufacturers.
The total prize money for the third edition of the Industrial Hackathon exceeded SAR 1,400,000, distributed among the winners and participants. The first-place winner in each track received SAR 100,000, the second winner SAR 70,000, and the third winner SAR 50,000. The remaining prizes were distributed among the other participants.
The Hackathon featured three tracks: Design, Production, and Sustainability. In the Design track, ""Gaslo"" secured first place, followed by ""Spark Craft"" in second place and ""Aseel"" in third place. In the Production track, ""Chemtec"" emerged as the winner, with ""GAMI"" taking second place and ""TeamTreck"" securing third place. Finally, in the Sustainability track, ""Innova8"" claimed first place, while ""Fantastic 5"" achieved second place and ""5R'SET"" took third place.
In addition to the financial prizes and incentives, SIDF provided developmental opportunities for all participants through the ""Industrial Innovation Leaders"" program, coupled with many other opportunities available in the ""Way-forwad"" zone to enhance and develop the participants' capabilities and support their innovative journey.
During the closing ceremony, H.E. the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources highlighted the remarkable success of the Hackathon in empowering national talents and fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors. He noted the Hackathon's role in connecting young Saudi innovators with leading companies and factories across the Kingdom, facilitating the exchange of expertise and knowledge, and transforming creative ideas into successful, real-world projects. H.E. also congratulated all participants and winners, expressing his eagerness to witness even more of their innovative work in the future. He appreciated their passion for innovation and ambition in driving the industrial sector's success.
