SIDF Launches Tomorrow the Boot Camp for the Third Industrial Hackathon

"The boot camp for the ""2024 Industrial Hackathon"" kicks off tomorrow, Thursday. Organized by the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), the Hackathon is launched to tap into the creative potential of citizens and residents, inspiring them to develop innovative solutions to the challenges faced by national manufacturers.
A total of 206 participants, divided into 50 teams, will compete across three tracks: Design, Production, and Sustainability. The boot camp, taking place on October 10th and 11th, will feature two days of enrichment sessions led by challenge owners, alongside mentoring and discussions with industrial experts. Participants will also have access to a Fabrication Laboratory (Fab-Lab) equipped with 3D printers and other advanced technologies, giving them the tools to bring their ideas to life.
Saturday, October 12th, will mark the conclusion of the Hackathon with a closing ceremony and an exhibition displaying the participants' innovative projects and solutions. H.E. the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of SIDF, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, will honour the winners and participants, with total prizes exceeding SAR 1.4 million.
The Hackathon this year is delivered in partnership with Riyad Bank, Alat, GASCO, Sipchem, and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, with Maaden and AlArabia providing sponsorship support."
