SIDF Launches the Third "Industrial Hackathon" with Prizes Exceeding SAR 1.4 Million
"The Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) announced the opening of registration for the Third Industrial Hackathon, under the patronage of H.E. The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of SIDF, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef.
The Hackathon seeks to tap into the creativity of individuals from all regions of the Kingdom, utilizing their talents to craft innovative solutions that strengthen the industrial sector, in alignment with SIDF's strategy of fostering innovation and development.
The registration phase ends on September 25th, with a prize pool exceeding SAR 1.4 million set to be distributed to winners and participants at the closing ceremony on October 12th.
The ""2024 Industrial Hackathon"" addresses Saudi manufacturers' challenges through three tracks: Design, Production, and Sustainability. During the boot camp, which will be held on October 10th and 11th, participants will engage with challenges presented by nine prominent companies: Lucid Motors, ALAT, Arriyadh Roaster, Alayed Hoses Factory, Al Safi Danone, National Gas and Industrialization Co. (GASCO), Kinza, Pure Polymers, and Nami.
Moreover, the ""2024 Industrial Hackathon "" is launched in partnership with Riyad Bank, ALAT, GASCO, Sipchem, and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, with the valued sponsorship of Maaden and AlArabia companies.
SIDF encourages citizens and residents of 18 years old and above to participate in the ""2024 Industrial Hackathon "" by visiting the official website (hackathon.sidf.gov.sa). The Hackathon aims to link creative ideas with the needs of Saudi manufacturers, addressing their real challenges, and boosting the competitiveness of the national product locally and globally.
With the continuous success of previous editions, the upcoming Hackathon will set a new standard in industrial innovation, following a robust response exceeding 8,000 applications and 405 participants in the boot camp of previous editions. This event continues to demonstrate SIDF's dedication to supporting Saudi manufacturers and driving innovation and creativity, essential elements for the progress of the national industrial landscape.
