Riyadh, Thursday June 3, 2021: the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), in cooperation with the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) is organizing a virtual webinar on Tuesday June 8, 2021 titled: “Meeting the Insurance Needs of Saudi Industries: Global Practices and Local Perspectives". The webinar aims to raise awareness on the importance of industrial insurance and its impact on the sustainability of the industrial renaissance in the Kingdom.   The webinar topics will discuss local and global perspectives of industrial insurance, and the perspective of local reinsurance, in addition to a panel discussion with a group of experts. The webinar will be moderated by Mr. Hussam Alkannas, Chairman of the Property, Casualty and Reinsurance (PC&R) Subcommittee, and in the presence of Robert Meyer, Principal, Consulting Actuary at Milliman, Abdulrahman Aldokheel, General Manager at Buruj Cooperative Insurance Company, and Fahad Alhesni, Managing Director and CEO of the Saudi Re (Saudi Reinsurance Company ).   This webinar is part of SIDF's efforts to raise awareness on the importance of industrial safety and insurance on factories, and the impact of security and safety measures and insurance coverage validity, on community safety and ensuring growth and sustainability of industrial projects. The webinar is part of many workshops that the fund holds on "Insurance and Risk Management", which aim to introduce industrial investors with the latest practices related to industrial safety, and the importance of industrial insurance.​​ ​
