The Saudi Advanced Manufacturing Hub holds a workshop for SMEs

"SIDF, represented by the Saudi Advanced Manufacturing Hub (Saudi AMHUB) hosted by SIDF in partnership with the World Economic Forum, held a workshop titled: ""SMEs Digital Transformation"", in cooperation with ""Obeikan Digital Solutions"", Siemens and Indeal, as digital solutions provider, with the presence and participation of factories with multiple industrial sectors in the Kingdom.
Mr. Abdul Aziz Al-Zaid, Advisor of SIDF's CEO and who is in charge of the Saudi AMHUB, said: “the workshop is considered one of the second-priority initiatives included in Saudi AMHUB's strategy to help support SMEs in their journey toward digital transformation"". Al-Zaid explained the workshop's aim to highlight the key problems experienced by the participating factories while seeking appropriate digital solutions for them and building proof of concept cases of the feasibility of a Software as a service (SaaS) model solution.
In addition, Al-Zaid said the digital solutions delivered at the workshop, following the Software as a service (SaaS) model, are low capital cost, an opportunity that allows SMEs to grip their operational costs, in addition to their ability to improve performance as a model that bears some of the characteristics of Industry 4.0.
This workshop is part of SIDF's journey towards enabling the local industry through better financing and advisory products, as it hosts Saudi AMHUB, one of WEF's global network of advanced manufacturing hubs. The Saudi AMHUB aims to discuss ways to provide successful solutions to stakeholders in the industrial sector, exchange experiences and best practices, bridge gaps, and accelerate the transition toward advanced manufacturing."
